The game started out as an offensive juggernaut as three touchdowns were scored in the first quarter. The Cats jumped out to an early 6-0 lead on a fancy run by Bennet Abladian. Shortly after, John Luchsinger scored for the Cats on another nice run and the conversion attempt once again was no good. At the end of the first quarter, the score stood at 12-6 in favor of the Cats and neither team was able to put any points on the board for the remainder of the game as both defenses stiffened. The Cats line featuring Quinn Wilson, Kyle Miller, Adam Houtenville, Noah Buteau and Jonathan Briggs opened up some nice holes throughout the game for Abladian, Cameron Richard-Storace, Sam MacGregor and Justin Grondal. Jacob Burd and Max Pierce helped to anchor the Cats defense. The Raiders defense played tough throughout the game and was lead by the play of Aiden McDonough, Aaron Oroh, Patrick Gunter, Evan Letourneau and Normandeau. The Chiefs got their first victory of the season with a strong showing against the Giants. The Chiefs first score was a pretty play in which Ty Vitko threw a nice pass to Sean Gallipo who hauled in the pass and bolted into the end zone. The PAT was no good and the Chiefs held a 6-0 lead. The Giants moved the ball on offense throughout the day, sparked by Spencer Murphy, Tyler Millette, Ethan Jennison and Jackson Perkins; however they could not get the ball into the end zone. The Chiefs defense was sparked by an interception and long return by Jacob Gellerson. Gellerson did not score on the interception return as he was run down by Dylan Murphy near the goal line to save the touchdown. However, the Chiefs still managed to put the ball in the end zone and their second touchdown was scored by Fin Wingren on a short run. Again the PAT was no good and the final score was 12-0. In addition to Gellerson, the Chiefs defense was also sparked by Harry Tarbox, Ethan Boucher, Liam Bonyman and Sebastian Cook. The Giants defense was lead by Sam Wentworth, Dylan Murphy and Ethan Greene. The Chiefs Head Coach is Kris Cook while the Giants Head Coach is Steve Jennison. |
