The Raiders ended their season on a 6 game winning streak by handling the Jets, 30-6. The game started out as a tight battle as the score stood at 12-6 after one period. However, from that point forward, it was all Raiders. The Raiders were once again led by Luc Normandeau on offense as he scored the Raiders first three touchdowns of the day. His first score, on a nice running play, put the Raiders up 6-0 as the PAT was no good. Normandeau again scored on a powerful run to put the Raiders up 12-0 as again the PAT was no good. The Jets rebounded with a score of their own as Trevor Cirinna scored on a run. The PAT was no good. Normandeau again hit pay dirt in the 2nd quarter on another exciting run. The PAT was no good and the Raiders led 18-6 at the half. In the 3rd quarter, Aaron Oroh bolted down field on into the end zone on a nice run and the Raiders led 24-0 (PAT was no good). The final Raiders touchdown was scored by Jason Suwu on a nifty run, putting the Raiders up 30-6 (PAT failed). Besides Normandeau, Suwu and Oroh, the Raiders received offensive spark from running and passing of Aaron Dean. The Jets offense was led by Blake Parmer, Collin Serra, Cirinna, Will MacGregor and Andral Lafleur. The Jets defense was anchored by Mike Brun, Aaron Daniels, Evan Santello, Pete Solbo, and Ryan Pottier. The Raiders swarming defense was led by Patrick Gunter, James Belyea, Aiden McDonough, Normandeau, Dean, Suwu, and Oroh. |

The final game of the season was a defensive battle from the start to the finish. Both teams fought hard and the defenses were up for the challenge with many stops for losses throughout the game. After several drives were stopped, the Giants broke the scoreless tie with several pounding runs right up the middle of the Jaguars defense by Ethan Jennison and Spencer Murphy, and then topped off the drive with sweeps by Dylan Murphy and Brad Plodzik. The PAT was no good. The score at the half was 6-0 Giants. The Giants received the ball in the second half and the Jags defense shut them down with several key tackles for losses by John Wertz and Pete Ciotti. The Jags got the ball back in good field position. But again the Giants defense held strong pushing the Jags backwards into a long 4th and 20. The Jags completed a long pass from Luke McCusker to Pat Fleming but it wasn’t enough for a first down and the Giants got the ball back. The Jags defense held strong again to force a four and out. But the Jags couldn’t capitalize again, this time getting stopped on a Wildcat pass by Kyle Ferriero that was intercepted by Dylan Murphy. The Jags defense held strong again getting the ball back to the offense on a four and out. The Jags completed another nice pass from McCusker to Fleming for a first down. After a couple of nice runs, the drive came down to a 4th and 1, and the Giants defensive line stuffed the Jags with just over a minute remaining in the game to seal the victory. The Jags defense was led by the outstanding tackling of Wertz, Ciotti, Beakes and Ferriero, while the Giants defense was led all day by the strong inside play of Michael Porter, Sam Wentworth and Quinn Wade, and the strong tackling outside by Spencer Murphy, Tyler Millette and Jack Perkins. |
